At GET Nord, the first trade fair for electrical engineering, sanitation, heating and air-conditioning, around 44,000 trade visitors learned about innovations and trends at the stands of roughly 530 participating companies from 14 countries.
Sustainability and energy efficient technologies were the major focus in all sectors. GET Nord's supplementary programme also attracted a lot of interest. Platforms such as the Architecture Forum, the Technology and Innovation Forum and the 'Light Is Life' Forum provided stimuli for forward-looking solutions. The highlight was the presentation of the 2008 Architecture Award 'What the future holds in store' and the 2008 BDA Hamburg Architecture Award.
Besides MVRDV, OMA, Gerkan Marg Partner, Bolles Wilson and others, Bob Gysin of BGP delivered a lecture at the GET Nord Architecture Forum on 'Green Buildings: State of the Art'.
