The Centre for Total Building Performance has been awarded a new project to work with the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore BCA to retrofit an existing block of building into a Zero Energy Building. The project is titled 'Zero Energy Building @ BCA Academy'.
The ZEB@BCA Academy is conceived as a major demonstration and test bedding facility to undertake a series of Green and Energy Efficient Building research programms. When the project is completed, the ZEB will continue to serve as a regional hub centre for the research and training of Green Building Professionals. It is envisaged to be an iconic building in Singapore and the region.
Through the project the Centre for Total Building Performance seeked international collaborations. Different eminent researchers from Europe and USA have been invited to the workshop. Rudolf Trachsel from BGP Architects was part of this international transfer of knowledge and experience for three days.
