The UBS Arts Forums seek to promote mutual understanding by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue between the artistic, cultural and economic sectors. Recognized experts lecture on contemporary issues and debate them with Forum participants.
The 2009 edition focused on the topic, 'New Sustainability? Positions on the Architecture of the Future'. Keynote speeches by Roger Diener and Hans Kollhoff, among others, sparked interdisciplinary discussions that were pursued in greater depth in the subsequent workshops. Marco Giuliani of BGP delivered a lecture on 'Sustainable Living and Working: Our Project in Hamburg's HafenCity'.
