On the afternoon of 15 June 2021, the second public climate conference of the Ostschweizer Fachhochschule OST took place virtually. The focus was on climate-neutral buildings and areas and is dedicated to the following questions:
- What contribution can Baukultur make to more climate protection?
- What can energy neutrality look like?
- How do we deal with the existing buildings?
Andres Herzog, co-managing director of Hochparterre, spoke about his 33 climate tips for the architects. Carsten Wemhöner, Professor of Building Technology at OST, explained energy-neutral areas. Susanne Kytzia, head of the Institute for Building and Environment at OST, explained the CO2 footprint of components and buildings. From our office Bob Gysin Partner, Sebastian El Khouli reported on practical examples.
