Last Sunday, the HPT building on the ETH Hönggerberg campus opened its doors as part of Open House Zurich. Designed by Albert Heinrich Steiner in 1967, the building underwent careful renovation, conversion, and barrier-free redesign between 2022 and the end of 2024.
During hourly tours, Felix Messerschmidt (BGP Architekten) and Dominic Bosshard (Ghisleni Partner) provided fascinating insights into the building's eventful history and the architectural and logistical challenges of the renovation. Visitors also gained unique impressions of the new work and research rooms of the Institute of Molecular Plant Biology.
