
Thanks to the phased construction approach, various stages of the building process were simultaneously visible — from the shell structure to the show flat — offering a rare insight into the entire construction process.
Particularly fascinating was the hybrid construction method: the load-bearing timber façade doubles as formwork for the concrete ceilings. The development comprises three clusters for owner-occupied, rental and cooperative housing. As a 2,000-watt district with a positive energy balance, the site generates more energy than it consumes.
