We were awarded second place for our competition entry – a wonderful recognition for a project that focuses on timber construction, sustainability and inclusion. Two compact new buildings complement the existing listed building to form a harmonious ensemble. Natural outdoor spaces, clear room structures and simple low-tech approaches ensure orientation, security and a wide range of possible uses – for children and young people with special needs as well as for village life.
