The association ’Les Journées de l’Architecture - Die Architekturtage’ is committed to increasing the interest in architecture of the public at large. It aims to promote a joint architectural region on both sides of the River Rhine, along with the sustainability of all French, German and Swiss events connected with this art, its issues, creations and protagonists.
The motto of the tenth anniversary programme in 2010 was ‘10 Years - 3 Countries - 1 Idea: Architecture is Sustainable!’. The lecture delivered by Bob Gysin of BGP Architekten at the opening event marked the start of a series of around two hundred events throughout a wider region encompassing Karlsruhe, Strasbourg, Mulhouse and Basel.
