2013 Innovation Award for Homes for the Elderly
The dedication of the architects at BGP is just a part of the whole: we enjoy support from experienced specialists and we seek guidance from users and developers. We then make sure that those concerns are integrated so as to optimise the development process - an approach that has been acknowledged with the Age Award for 2013.
For this year's award, on the theme of new-build residential care centres, entrants were invited to submit inspiring designs built during the last six years. The award was won by BGP's Lanzeln centre for senior citizens in Stäfa. In this design, the private and public spheres, functionality and aesthetics all come together as a harmonious whole, without one aspect being subordinate to another, the jury stated.
